Very first and foremost. Look at this blog. (If you are viewing this blog in an email, you should really consider just clicking on over to the actual post. It will be worth your time. http://michellie-moments.blogspot.com) Just look at it. I have the best husband in the world. He did such a good job making this look (soooooooo) much better & also more like me. He even managed to subtly convince me that my text should be in italics because it fits my style of writing. I was very much so against italics. I am not an italics person. But, as my designer, he was very right that it definitely fit the tone of the blog as well as my writing. (It also helped that Rachel agreed). He has placed the responsibility on me however that with a new and improved beautiful design I now have to use my blog more. I shall do my best.
This weekend was a good one. A much needed weekend. But really now, who decided that the work week was five whole days??! Though being only two days, this weekend was a good one full of some much needed recuperation from the past month of beaucoup work. One of my favorite things from this weekend was that it felt as though spring had sprung. It was a beautifully sunny weekend! Honestly, we couldn't have asked for more! We even drove with our windows down & the sunroof open. Yeah. It was heaven. But as I have already lamented to both my dear Shawn and mother, spring does not bode well for pregnancy. I feel really dumb because I have had a really good pregnancy and absolutely no room for complaints. But lemme tell you something...my body is by no means the body I am used to. So I (embarrassingly) shed a few tears this weekend about the fact that I can only wear stretchy clothes and the fact that all of my pants no longer fit my hips and thighs. But, baby has to get out, so I'm happy that my body seems to know what it's doing! My lack of feeling any ounce of cuteness brought out yet another kindness from my dear husband. Really now, Shawn is too good to me, too often. He surprised me with a giftcard for Sephora and drove me on over there to buy the makeup that I had run out of and had since missed so much. I know it's minuscule and doesn't even really really matter...but oh man, the tears came again in full force as I opened the card and saw another simple & thoughtful manifestation of his deep love.
We also had the opportunity to go to the Tumbleweed Festival in Salt Lake. I snagged a voucher from work that gave us two free admissions and we were able to attend a screening of one of the films. The Tumbleweed Festival is a movie festival for children and youth. So. Awesome. They had a balloon arch that looked like popcorn!! It was incredible! A few months ago, Shawn had seen a trailer for Ernest & Celestine and it just so happened that it was playing here as well. It was so. good. We loved it! The music was beautiful. The animation was incredible. My absolutely favorite part was a scene that changed the season from winter to spring. Oh my, oh my! I smiled the entire time that scene was playing. If you get the opportunity (it's playing here in Utah starting April 4), you should definitely go see it. Saturday was also a day of peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, Super Mario (whoa man. Shawn is getting really good. Furreal.), and just hanging out at home. We ate homemade fish and chips for dinner and I calculated that in mayonaise alone, I ate about 400 calories. (And we will no longer wonder why my pants don't fit in the hips and thighs. haha)
"All in all..." it was a really good weekend.

I served my mission in Italica.
I'm glad you are updating again. You will have to keep it up when you leave us! I agree with Dom, where are the belly shots? Let's hang out again soon before you go.
Thanks for the comments, guys. I know I write mostly for me (and Shawn--haha) but it's nice to know that on occasion it's read and hopefully enjoyed by others. And I will see what I can pull out of my hat as far as pictures of my unborn child go. I'll work on it...
I love the new design! Nice work, Shawn. I love your blog and the little snapshots of your life. ☺️
thanks @lisa hathaway! I'll be sure to pass the word along to Shawn!
