I decided to do a list of my favorites for my post that incorporates (hopefully) everything I wanted to write about. Let's see how it goes!!
Favorite People and Places:
-i have the best friends and family. ever. thanks to all the girls for my birthday! it couldn't have been better. thanks rachie for everything. you are amazing! thanks to marilyn and my family all in arizona.
-d.i. i have become a d.i.-aholic. who knew?! i now have 9 vases (not all d.i. but i think 4 of them are) and cute little ice cream dishes, and punch glasses...and books (i got this wonderful cookie book. over 300 recipes. heaven.). boy have i gone wild in that store.
Favorite Purchases:
-the title of this post is very much inspired by one of my very favorites...i bought the sound of music special 40th anniversary edition. i love it! i watched some of the special features. i nearly cried. seriously.
- cake decorating set.
- this fun gold ring from forever 21. i've been looking for a gold ring for a while. it's totally cheap. but i love it.
- a fine frenzy album.

Favorite Outings:
-montana. seriously it was so so so wonderful!! kayaking, hiking, walks, sitting on the deck in the sun while writing in my journal, shooting, games, laughing, music, the wonderful company, children-books-reading-aloud-sessions
- timp. storytelling festival. oh. my. goodness. it's amazing. i'm going back again and again, as long as i live in utah. it was truly a treat! try looking up some of these people and find some of their information: donald davis (so so so good!), david holt, connie regan-blake. so amazing.
- i have had the wonderful opportunity to go to the temple every week since my own endowment. oh my! the temple is amazing. i love the opportunity to go and for the closeness of the temples.
Favorite Events:
- camilla's birthday. marilyn asked me to come and help and it was SO much fun! i loved being there and i cannot believe the energy 11-12 year old girls have!
- rachie-roo's birthday!! liberty land. so so so funny. those rides are a crack up. when we got there and bought the tickets i asked if all the rides were open. she said they were but they weren't used to having that many people there, so we would have to go find someone that worked there and ask them to come let us on the ride that we wanted. haha rach and i had a good day!
- my birthday. i got some of the sweetest and most cherished gifts. thanks to all!
- baking. i'm back to baking!! mini chocolate cupcakes. chocolate-chocolate cookies. lemon poppy seed muffins. donuts. chocolate smokey bear cake.
-reading "Peter Pan" by J.M. Barrie with rachel.

Oh what fun! I love you michelle! You are so great! I am consistently inspired by reading your blog! You are wonderful! I still need to give you part of your bday present from me! It will come...like the blanket i promised will eventually come! I love you! Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers lately! They paid off!!!
Thanks for all your help with Camilla's birthday party. So, so much fun! And . . . now I have to go and listen to all of those songs on i-tunes and I will most likely download all of them.
