winter wonderful

holy smokes. How does life get so busy that I can't even update my blog??? haha...at least it shows that I have some priorities in the right place.

Life is super good. I'm having a great time---staying extra busy this month with work (outings to christmas light, a christmas carol production, holiday parties...) and trying to get together with friends and family for holiday festivities.

The last few weeks have also been busy with John and Sarah Stephenson's wedding in California and Thanksgiving the following weekend. It was such a blessed relief--I was able to go home for about 4 days for Thanksgiving. Oh my! I loved it!! I played Twister, Speed Scrabble (I'm totally hooked), Harry Potter Clue, Boggle, Guess Who, Connect Four, California Speed and jumped on the trampoline. It was awesome. Oh. I finally got to drive the mustang. So so so sweet. I also had the opportunity to go to the Mesa Temple for my first time. It was so beautiful! I started to cry a bit. haha I'm so pathetic sometimes. But it just has a lot of meaning to me, and the interior is beautiful and of course the spirit is amazing.

Since being back in Utah I have cleaned my room (that's a big deal. it was autrochious having been out of town and washing laundry...yikes), I got sick---and then better, bought boots, made lots and lots of treats (brownies. snickerdoodles. molasses cookies. oatmeal raisin cookies.), listened to Christmas music and am currently trying to get my mind ready for the reality of snow (I'm all about it...I'm not a total snow hater. I just have a hard time remembering how to live in it. I woke up to a picture perfect snowy morning out my window. I was excited. For break the fast, after church, I wore my skirt and flip-flops.) and I've even had a jump-rope contest (I'm asking rach for a rematch.)

Alright. Since I'm all about the pictures and visually displaying my activities----here we go:

Didn't realize you went to the Mesa Temple. Ahhh. . . it is such a beautiful and peaceful temple. Of course they all are, but I too really love that temple. I'm glad you got to go. Come and see me! We all miss you.
