the great pumpkin patch

I love my job. It just adds to the "michelle-ness" of my life. It gives me so many opportunities to laugh and do silly things. The kinds of things that make my family laugh and shake their head and coin the phrase "you just pulled a michelle." So today Sarah and I went to get pumpkins for our huge Halloween Carnival we are having tomorrow night. We needed about 100 so that the children can come and decorate them. We were lucky enough to have someone donate all of them. We just had to pick them up. No biggie. We got there and no-no-no...not just a quickie pick-up-trip. We had to trample through the pumpkin patch field and cut them off the vine. Yet again. No biggie. Then there was snow on the ground. The ground was mushy and muddy. The wind was howling. It was COLD. My shoes were canvas and definitely not wet-proof. I was wearing my one and only winter coat (that doesn't even cover my arms and isn't mud-friendly) and my work dress pants. haha So naturally, what do I do?
Haha. Sarah laughed at me a couple of times when she looked at me and I would say "Yikes!" in my head every time I caught a glimpse of myself. haha way to represent the company!

Needless to say, it was really fun and good to get outside and do something active and enjoy being outside and reaquaint myself with winter. And of course we loaded up with toasty-warm drinks from the gas station (I enjoyed warmed up apple juice---haha--but so yum!) on our drive back to work.
