"for me this is heaven"

I truly feel as though I am blessed with glimpses of heaven. They come in a variety of situations and at different times but invariably have to do with the wonderful people in my life. Tonight I had the opportunity to have some of the dearest people in my life over at my house. Now if it was really heaven I would have a big enough house for EVERYONE that I love and we would all be here together. Always. But that isn't possible, yet. So until then, I have to be satisfied by smaller groups and just as often as is possible with busy lives. We had a family reunion of sorts tonight. It was a scones reunion and it was just a joy. Right near the end I was snagging everyone for a picture and Jenny pinned it right on the nose. She called me "mom". haha So true. When I get everyone together I feel like they are just such a part of me and who I am that it's like a family reunion. So after a few hours of sitting, laughing, talking, eating, reminiscing about spin-the-bottle-wrestling, laughing, making phone calls to some that weren't here and getting caught up on life it was time to call it quits. It was so fun to see us all after 5 years and ups and downs and graduations and marriages... What a treat to have all of these people and countless others in my life.
