I just love general conference. The saturday morning session we were invited over to some friends of ours from the ward for crepes and to watch the session together. All through the first ten minutes or so I kept getting overly excited and nearly bouncing in my seat or hitting Eileen. I love it. I love the new temples announced. I loved all the wonderful messages. I loved that there were a few explicitly in answer to my prayers. What a gift!
On top of the amazing words shared, I loved the beauty of the weekend and the people I was able to enjoy the weekend with. Here go my shout outs for people places and things of conference weekend.

Friday night was spent with these great people as we watched these great people...

if you like folk and bluegrass music, give them a
try.

this to me is middle america and beautiful and something i could live in for the rest of my life. does that sound dull and bland and boring? yes, it does, i might addendum my comment and say the majority of my life, after living a few other places for at least a couple of years each.

this picture, as well as the previous and following are from my bike ride i enjoyed during the priesthood session saturday night. i was overcome with love for nature and the love from god in the beauties around us. honestly it was a perfect night. and to top it off i was able to see my dear friend em from the lab and chat and get caught up. love her.

really? it was mesmerizing. the asphalt was orange.

later saturday night i played scrabble with my roommate and our friend. it ended up that we played later than i anticipated (maybe 1am?) so i awakened early and drove up to spend the morning at the scott's. i love them. marilyn is a blessed woman that is such an example to me and one of my very dearest friends. from there i went to grandma's house and visited her and aunt karen. grandma's heals my soul. we even got to go on a walk! look at this woman. she is so dear and amazing and 92 and wise and wonderful and loving. leaving her house is always so difficult and i feel i'm betraying my heart. but look at this house and this dear grandma of mine

i love conference weekends.

You should really be a professional photographer. Really! And, it was great to be with you as well. Come again soon. I'm making applesauce this weekend. I know you want to come.
