just a couple of memory making -thons

About three weeks ago, my dear friend and roommate Nicole had quite a wonderful event in her life. That event involved my roommate Eileen and me driving down with her on a Friday afternoon to St. George. Nicole had signed up for a triathlon. Yeah. She's pretty awesome. Her dear parents got us a hotel room. We went to WalMart to get our dinner. While there we added to our MEN (michelle eileen nicole) wardrobe with matching hats. Saturday morning we got up and went with Nikki over to the tri location. It was so inspiring to see all of these athletes! And I was so impressed with Nikki and so happy and proud to cheer her on and call her my wonderful friend! There wasn't a lot of cheering for all of the participants, so Eileen and I took it upon ourselves to cheer for them all. I'm sure you can imagine how that was. All in all, it was a wonderfully long weekend and a treat to be with the girls and be amazed, yet again, by dear Nikki.

it's official.

"way to go!" was just one of our signature shout-outs.

look. there she is. but really. she is there somewhere in that mass of bodies, swimming. and she came out of that portion seventh. yes. seventh. how cool? supa' cool.

So this other even took place last night. It had roots that went a little deeper, or at least farther back. Indeed, we had a roommate read-a-thon! Nikki and I were discussing the current weather conditions (cloudy, rainy and cooler) and how it is perfect weather for being cozy and reading. So the conversation evolved and we made a special invitation to the three of us to attend the roommate read-a-thon in our very own homemade fort. Yes. Fort. It was wonderful. Pajamas. Sheets. Laughing. Even reading did happen. It was simply splendid.
