"it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"

When you read that title, you need to read it as though Perry Como was singing it. Because that's how I wrote it. Was with him singing it.

Well, this year I decided to do the tree thing. I decorated a wreath for the front door and have garland around the "window" that goes from the dining room to kitchen.

So amidst other things that I have tried to do to improve my real Christmas Spirit, I also checked out a book from the library of classic Christmas Stories, from classic authors. I also wrapped presents and put them under my tree (which surprisingly made me really excited!) and it snowed again last night which was SO exciting!

Work has helped me get more in the mood. We went to see Christmas lights with residents 3 times a week and the excitement they had was contagious. Also, the gifts for the residents that are coming in from the giving tree have started to arrive, and I LOVE that the most! It's the best to have asked the residents what they wanted and then to see people bring them, out of the goodness of their heart. It makes me so so happy for these dear people, whom I love!

Also, we made gingerbread houses at work. Classic. We had such a good time! It was only scheduled of an hour but we just sat there for two, decorating and eating and visiting and laughing. I collaborated with another staff member and a resident. It was so fun!

So Merry Christmas, in a week! IT's going to be a good Christmas season---I'm feeling that love and joy and it really is contagious and happy and invigorating.
