Wowie! It has definitely been a while. A little long while. Looking at the last post, I see now that it was written one month before I met Shawn. And things have definitely been different and keeping me busy since then!
When Shawn rediscovered my blog yesterday and asked me about writing in it, I said I didn't really take pictures or have anything to write about--all I really feel like I do is work and have a few fleeting hours with Shawn before I drift off to sleep. Poor guy, his next question was, "BUT, we also have a lot of fun! Right? Right? Right?" And yes, yes we do.
So, my dear kind husband is a good one. With him asking me to consider writing a blog post, it got me thinking & really opened my eyes to the fact that although I am living my life and not worrying about making it public, I found that I also was letting some things pass me by & I don't think I have been appreciating them for what they all are. My blog was intended for the little moments that I enjoyed and laugh about and find happiness in, and to share them mostly for my family that was far away to knit us closer. So even though I am extremely happy in my life. Even though I don't really get homesick anymore (sorry mom). Even though I don't take as many pictures as I used to because I married a photographer...it took that photo-taking-husband and a small wake up call of sorts to remember to keep it up! Don't lose that fire of happiness and love and laughter and sharing it with those that I love.
This past year has been absolutely wonderful! And rather than backtracking all at once and spending waaaaaaaaaay too much of all of our time trying to document the past, I'm going to go forward from here and try to fill in the pieces as I go.
