"all you need is love"

Happy Day of LOVE, yesterday! Within the last few years I have done a 180 on Valentines Day. (Thanks Jenny!!) And still, my love for this day has grown as I have had the opportunity to celebrate it and just express love and enjoy love. Love for nobody in particular, but love of many people---family and friends. Love of things-- like flowers and baking and beautiful things like Mt. Timp that looked amazing while driving to church yesterday. Friday night as the kick-off to my V-Day celebrations we did a big Sweethearts Ball for the residents. It was such a big deal that we even did a balloon arch. Yeah. Totally awesome. Saturday I was lovin' the Olympics. Sunday I enjoyed making sugar cookies and having my sister and her friend over for dinner. It was a good weekend---exhausting and definitely not long enough, but wonderful just the same.

at work some kindergartners came and did a craft with the residents. heart watches to say stuff like, "watch out, i'm in love" or "time to say i love you!" that's me with my power ranger-esque "all you need is love" watch.

balloon arch...you can't see it too much but you get the idea. thanks to miss katie-kate for having the balloon arch skills and teaching me. this is my dear friend sarah

for all of you valentines day haters...celebrate AZ's birthday. My cornbread i cut for rach...
