f-cubed equals happiness. excitement. joy. something to look forward to ALL day. memories. yumminess for the taste buds. or it means french fry friday. I've been looking forward to this all month. All day, every day, for 26 days. My roommates quickly jumped on board and we made a list of french fry candidates. We divided them up and claimed 5:30 in the pm as our meeting time back at our little house so as to indulge in the potatoes. It was perfect! The house smelled wonderful! Tasty fried potatoes. So here you have it. French Fry Friday.
here we are. not being able to contain our excitement. our fries: mcdonalds. guru's sweet potato. chadders. red robin. the creamery (original and cracked pepper).
And the night didn't end there, for me. I have been thinking it through. ipod. kitchenaid. vacation. kitchenaid. vacation. ipod....i decided. kitchenaid. And yesterday was the big day. I had researched the entire night before as to what to buy and where to buy it from. I found it at Bed Bath and Beyond for 100 bucks less and also with a 20% off coupon. Golden. So Eileen (bless her) and myself embarked, after eating what seemed like our body weight in tots.
here I am walking through the store. I found the kitchenaid stand mixers and bad news. They didn't have the model I wanted except on the internet. They had the one smaller and the one bigger. I worked it out with one of the workers that I could order the one I wanted in the store, apply the coupon and have it shipped to me---they were going to waive the shipping fee. So it was really tempting. However, the next model had a rebate for an in-store purchase, and with the coupon I could get the best model (for everyday use, not the industrial version) for only 20 bucks more than the original model I had intended on buying. Done.
I can now make 8 loaves of bread. 13 dozen cookies. And 8 pounds of tots.
Investment.
Eileen helped me. Immensely. Bless her. It took longer than expected with the model decision and then the color decision. But she was awesome and what a great friend!!
YESSS!!! Honestly. You KNOW what this means to me.
Alright. Slightly ridiculous. I am extremely excited though. Eileen is big into naming. So, I named this little beautiful "Bessie Morgan" just Bessie on most occasions. That's my great-grandmother's name and I can never name a child that, since Bessie usually is associated with a cow, nowadays. But for a kitchenaid. It definitely fits.
white. i know. but long-term vision, i think it will fit my ideal kitchen. and since an ideal kitchen is kind of far-fetched, it will hopefully fit any and all kitchens i have in my life. And don't worry, it worked extremely well. Molasses cookies. check. Next? Cinnamon Rolls. Potato Rolls. And the list truly is near endless. What a treat!
O Michelle! I sure do miss you! I'm so happy you were about to get a kitchen aid, they are to die for! I love mine. Seems like you are enjoying life! I miss you! Wish i could be there for the bread making! :)
