Yesterday was Luau day. Nothing super fun...just the typical lei, flower in the hair, and shell jewelry. Classic. We did have a water balloon toss with staff and residents. Some of the residents weren't afraid to get a little wet and they were so classic! I loved it. The staff got a little carried away with a balloon fight, but yet again, so fun!
I do have a funny story from yesterday. Our administrator that started a few months ago is actually a Barney. Some distant cousin of mine. And weird that his name is Wayne. Just like my dear Grandpa's brother. So I was in Wayne's office yesterday and we were chatting and he asked me about my social life. He had known I had been dating someone and had broken up with him and so he was just checking on the progress, I guess. I told him I was great and jokingly asked, "Where the heck am I supposed to be looking?!" He answered with the all-too-often-given-response, "You'll just find him, and when you do, you'll know." Okay. Thanks. haha
After the water balloon toss I was in the business office and my friend in there said Wayne was on the phone with me. Apparently our conversation flipped a matchmaking switch for him. He was at his bank and had found a boy for me. haha He wanted to put him on the phone so we could chat, then and there. Nope. Awkward. Especially with my friend listening on my end and my boss listening on the other end. So I desperately asked Wayne to just write down my number and give it to him. haha What a treat.
Today has been ideal. A perfect 60-65 degees and the farmers market. It was the preseason market today, so it wasn't super busy, but there were some great finds! Rachel's friends bought some awesome ceramics. I found some jewelry that were made out of antique plates and I AM GOING TO SAVE...they were beautiful! I did invest in a Brazilian Coconut Ring.

Then we went home and had a wonderful creation. Toasted bagel-smashed up avocado-tomato-grilled turkey (cooked in tuscan italian salad dressing)-spinach. Yum!
Rach, her roommate Eve and myself headed to D.I. I went against all of my rules and I bought a pair of shoes. But I feel good about it. I got two more pillows to finish off the rest of my fabric for my outdoor pillows. Oh, and I also got this totally awesome vase.

Picture it now...with beautiful peonies. I can't decide what color. Probably any color. But they will be beautiful one day!
Ps---rach whipped out an impromptu personal concert of "The Entertainer" for us at the D.I. I told her she should be careful because now people would either want to buy the piano or her.

Awesome vase! What a find. I love being able to know what's going on in your life. OH and that ring is super cool!
I loved everything about Saturday. It was really such a wonderful day. Thank you for playing with me so much! We should do it all of the time.
