meet wendy moira angela darling. These are my attempts of flying at work. Let me tell you, it was tough business. Maybe I just wasn't thinking enough happy thoughts...

One of the dear residents, every time I would talk to her or she would talk to me she would say, "I don't want to go to bed! I just don't want to! I don't want to grow up!" haha it was so cute. Also, while we were doing Fancy Fingers (paint the ladies nails), we were listening to XM radio and it was the Sinatra station. It's one of my favorites and today it really took the cake. While we were listening they started playing "Second Star to the Right" and "Never Never Land" which is from the version of Peter Pan like unto the one Mary Martin is in. Classic. I was honestly so excited!! Totally wild that we listen to that station a lot and I have never heard any of those peter pan songs before. It was providence. It was kind of magical being Wendy, today.

Also, I was walking down the hall when I got to work today, and I passed a room of a resident that had the television on. This isn't odd. Normally, when walking down the hall in the morning you can hear the Price is Right in surround sound. Particularly loud for those hard of hearing. What is odd is this television was not showing the typical Price is Right. Oh no, it was BILL NYE! On the television! And no rerun, but live. Wow. It was wild. I started laughing, aloud, to myself...of course there was an aide that just happened upon me, laughing by myself in the hall, in that very moment. It was totally worth it.

Tonight, we went on an outing with a few residents. We went to the BYU Museum of Art. It was really fun and we had a great group with lots of laughter. The dear lady that I was with, said after about 45 minutes, "I'm just so tired, can we please sit and rest?" I replied with, "You are sitting and resting. I'm walking, pushing you." it made me laugh.
