But only if I have access to nifty tools and get to work in a shop that's chock-full of character. At work, we have "guys club" twice a month. It's honestly one of the hardest activities to get people to come to. It usually results in us asking each gentleman if he wants to come join, he promptly declines and we are left to do the activity with all the women that come by their own free will.
We decided that for Christmas, we would get all of the guys a pinewood derby car and then incorporate the entire process into "guys club" for the next few months. It's April. Let me just say that I am happy that I won't ever have 25+ sons. It's been quite the task to get the guys to design them and get them geared up for it. But for the most part they were done so we made a plan to cut them out!
Today, at the end of work we headed over to Max's house. Max is the father of our maintenance man, Lee. Both are wonderful men. Honestly, such good and helpful and cheerful men. Max offered us his tools, built us a nice fire in the wood burning stove and we cut cars for 2.5 hours. So so so much fun! I love using scroll saws. And I honestly loved his shop...
For those of you who witnessed our family reunion pinewood derby, let it be known that I have improved in my logic behind pinewood derby's. I get it just a little bit more and I will not be hammering the wheels in like it's one of these--

Fun! I always had a hard time watching the pine wood derby when I was younger because I felt so bad for the little boys whose cars didn't go anywhere and they cried. Doesn't sound like me huh! You'll just have to help camden out when he does his eventually!
Cute! Hope the "guys" at work end up loving the activity, it sounds awesome! They are lucky to have you!
Michelle, this is awesome. So cool you were cutting those cars?? You're a do-er. So funny that the guys won't come to guys club but the women are ready to go. Reminds me of the 3 to 1 male to female ratio of LDS singles out here hehehehe...
