"i'm lucky i know, but i want to go home"

I am truly so blessed. Last week I was having a weird time with bad dizzy spells and sharp pains in my head. Yikes. So on Thursday I called the doctor and my mom and got everything figured out to hop on a plane early Friday morning and go home until Monday afternoon.

Oh what bliss.

I spent all of my time with family and I got to see everyone---Grandma + Elmer. Ammon + Kathy and I got to meet their new dog. Erica + Brandon + little ones. It was just such a treat. The weather was perfect and sunny and breezy and warm. Even being home for three days seemed like forever and it was hard to come back to Utah. And how does it seem to be that as soon as I get back to Utah it seems like I never left? Crazy.

Here's my, "Good News....Bad News..." take on my trip home.

Good News: I got to see this little miss and she sang me all of the "aunt shell" songs like "Haven't Met You Yet" by Michael Buble and "Dolla Dolla Bill" by Akon.
Bad News: Brylin is really strong and out of nowhere just started to do "push-ups" and then showed me her muscles and look at that...that's frightening.

Good News: Brylin knows who I am and we're friends and she likes me. She also likes my camera
Bad News: She takes a lot of random-funny pictures.
Good News: She has an artistic eye that perfectly captured her cute little legs. Also good news is that digital makes it easy to delete pictures.

Bad News: We missed Rachel.
Good News: We met Erica and Brandon and gang at the lightrail station and went to the Tempe Art Festival together. It was a perfectly warm day and I loved it to pieces!

Good News: Brylin loved her hat and was so fun to go around with. She loved the man that was doing a show with juggling and the sort.

Bad News: Drew really didn't like his hat being on his head.
Good News: He looks super cute in it. And he won't have skin cancer.

Good News: I got to spend time with Brylin and bake. It was so fun to do one of my favorite things with one of my favorite people! And she definitely kept me completely focused on the task at hand.
Bad News: I missed my kitchen aid and realized how much I love it.

Good News: We went to visit Ammon and Kathy. We watched Iron Man on Blue Ray and I think I was actually in the movie. It was my first Blue Ray experience and it was wild.
Bad News: We got back late and our power was out. Select houses were out after a breaker kind of thing was flipped on a...actually, I don't know any of the correct terminology. All I know is that it was dark. It was kind of creepy. It was not going to last forever. When I woke up I could shower and blow dry my hair.
Good News: Kate and I got to entertain ourselves by taking frightened pictures.
