saturday date night

Please, let me introduce you. I have a long-term date scheduled for every Saturday evening. It's one that I am very excited about. And this is what I get to look forward to, week after week:

Tonight was my first night that I attended the temple as a new Provo Temple Ordinance Worker. It was wonderful. I am very excited to work with the sisters that I encountered. I spent a lot of time tonight by myself, and I now think I am sufficiently prepared to be put to work, next Saturday (and still, with a lot of help and prayers). I am really looking forward to this opportunity every week. The Spirit is so strong and it was very comforting tonight as I struggled to feel capable.

Although I didn't feel like I worked that much tonight, I am one tired girl! I am very fortunate for this blessing. As I walked out of the temple tonight, it was a beautiful sight to see the fountains and feel the serenity accompanying me. It's always so difficult for me to leave the temple and come back to the world, but I guess that's the point of it---to be strengthened so we can come out and serve those around us and live to be our best selves so we can return, both to the temple and eventually back to our Heavenly Father.
