So last night I went to a fireside up at the UofU institute. It was great. John Bytheway. Afterwards, I was talking with my "friends" and although it had been PACKED for the fireside, by this point it had cleared out quite a bit. We were standing by the exit and there were about 5 of us engaged in conversation. So as I was standing there I saw this guy and his girlfriend walking towards the exit. My right leg was holding all my weight and my left leg was just resting behind it...if that makes sense. So just as they were passing, I don't know how or why or anything, but his left shoulder hit my left shoulder very squarely. It wasn't a light tap or a simple brush of the shoulder, it was a full on contact kind of hit. Remember how the room was nearly cleared out?! Maybe I'm invisible...or maybe he had some eye damage done in his past that injured his depth perception. haha I don't know. But it was almost like slow motion...I just started falling, and falling. haha I luckily caught myself on my friend Monica's arm, but really?! He turned around and apologized, but I was laughing so much. It was so unreal. Monica thought that he knew me and was doing it on purpose (which...the phrase "on purpose" is my question of the day yesterday. it doesn't make any sense! how can you be on or off purpose. you can have purpose...but "on purpose"?? i don't think it's a real phrase, but one that is accepted by the english speaking world and is another reason english is so confusing...anyway. "on purpose"...) but he was a complete stranger and did not do it with purpose. The rest of my friends just kept chatting and I just kept playing it over and over in my head...weird.
