"what a wonderful world"

Honestly, what a wonderful weekend it was ! (except for starting day-light savings. i dislike daylight savings. a lot.) It started Friday. Friday the sixth. I just had a great day. My working-out endeavor is put on hold due to the fact that my body seemed to be switched with a 90-year-old woman. But all in good time, I'll find something I can do. I had an interview Friday morning and after that I went to Alli-Alli's house to make...MORNING GLORY MUFFINS!! Honestly. These are the best things ever, and the company was remarkable. Morning Glory Muffins are kind of like Alli's and mine trade-mark of a treat. So here's to old times and wonderful times! Thanks Alli for always making it a treat to come see you! After Alli's I made a mad dash to my house and then off to Harriman to see the wonderful Katie-Kate and Cari! It was wonderful! Cari was in town to watch the boys and so I went up for dinner and a movie. When I first got there Katie handed me and envelope that had "Welcome!" written on it. She instructed me to open it and it was such a kind, thoughtful note. She then proceeded to hand me stack of envelopes that were for me
to take home and to open at my will, whenever I needed a little pick-me-up! Really?! She is the best! Thank you so much Katie and Cari for the wonderful night! We watch "The Secret Life of Bees" which I would completely recommend. There is a part when August (Queen Latifah is talking about the bees, and says that "every little thing in this world needs to be loved" or something like that...and I'm not going to lie. I teared. But it made me so grateful for the wonderful company I had had so far in the weekend and the other amazing company I would be blessed to have the remainder of the weekend.) Katie and I left and headed down further south. I was headed just to Highland to stay the night at the Scott's. Oh my. I love the Scott's. I woke up bright and early on Saturday and felt bad as I ditched out on the family stuff for a bit, but I had the opportunity to go to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. Beautiful! It was a gorgeous morning and the stained glass up in the spire was all blue and simply stunning. It was a wonderful opportunity to go and take part in doing Baptisms for the dead. I love being able to serve. (I now have a goal to have one family name by December 31 of this year...wish me luck!) The rest of the day at the Scott's house was wonderful! I love Saturday's in a real home, with a real family. It's full of chores and playing and just has that family feeling. I miss it! So thank you Marilyn for letting me come to take part in it! We also did some shopping for one of my best friends from home, Emily, bridal shower that was in Provo. Marilyn was a champ and made triple batch of brownies---haha! And then we made some fruit-kabobs. Camilla helped us and I don't know if more fruit got on the skewers or into our tummy between the three of us! The shower was a success and then I got to spend time with my lovely sister, Rachie-Roo! I love having her here. It's been such a blessed relief to have family so close! It's been so amazing! We laughed...a lot. We luckily found a small corner of Costa Vida that was uninhabited and were able to recite "Do you know the muffin man??" haha! And took some crazy pictures of our eyes that made us both go blind...love you Rachel! Then it was to the apartment to spend time with the girls. Oh how wonderful it was! It just felt so normal and natural to be there, sitting, talking, listening to music and basking in it all! Thanks Jenny and Melissa! And for anyone else in Provo that I didn't get to see, I am coming again this weekend and will be around for more than just 3 hours, so I will most definitely see you! So. This was most definitely long. Very long. Sorry. But I couldn't leave anyone or anything out---so thanks to everyone for contributing to this wonderful weekend
!
